1BritPop Lisa Maire I dont know Lisa, no matter how much we raise our voices they just keep ignoring us, I really dont know what to think, if they dont care about OW anymore, then why are they updating Ourworld Facebook page's profile photo? it's pointless, unless they really think about bringing back the game. Maybe they have divided opinions, one part of them wants to resurrect the game while others dont want that to happen. -
xDøvah From what I hear, the update to the ourWorld FB page does have some interesting news behind it. Apparently Derrick personally was emailed about the page being updated and posting images, to which Derrick replied along the lines of how it was "still on our [Flowplay] list, nothing definite yet".
I personally don't think it has anything to do with divided opinions, however there may be something brewing internally for an "ourWorld 2.0" of sorts, which would make sense if they are just thinking or brainstorming on a revive of the IP, they wouldn't renew or create a new trademark.

Trisha Paytas They need to confirm they are bringing it back. There is literally 10s of thousands of people interested in getting back on the game.

xDøvah I have a sneaking suspicion that they are most likely working towards structuring a new version of oW in the future, otherwise they wouldn't've bothered to update or post anything on their associated Facebook account. Seems rather odd for them to update it in anyway other than deleting it if they weren't internally looking into bringing it back, but that's just how I see it.

Given that they were acquisitioned by Wind Creek Hospitality means they should have more access to resources than they had before to further improve their "World SDK". Also, to mention ourWorld's development time, as it started production in January 2007, then their first public beta was in April 2008 with a full release in September (?) that same year, it can almost be said that we'd see a similar timeframe on a new ourWorld IP.
I highly doubt, though, that they'd just revive the pre-existing game, as with its many, many faults, it'd be smarter to start fresh with using HTML5 or even Haxe. No point in reviving the same game using the same code that's already been abused severely by whom Flowplay calls "bad actors".

xDøvah With given the fact of Derrick personally responding to an email stating that any updates to oW (in context for the oW Facebook page that was updated out of the blue) were still on their plans, just nothing was definite, I'd say there's a good chance the IP will return in some form or fashion. Just time will tell with Flowplay's actions. All we can do is wait and see.
Side note, there was a case filing dating from 2019-2021 (?) for a web page named arcade.io and listing ourWorld first on their list of successful MMOs, so I'd take that however you'd like, I just thought it was interesting. Maybe just a coincidence as it was their first game under their World SDK's first iteration, only to be improved over time with VW and up to 7SC (7 Seas Casino).

1BritPop Lisa Maire By the time they decide to bring back or remake this game most of us will lose the will to play it or forget about it totally, you see when someone really wants something, and intends to do something, they do it, there's no prolonging, there are no second thoughts, and no excuses. Just being real here, I dont think we are going to see this game come back to life any time soon. -

TheTinierOne As much as I Hated the Game in the End, I want it back. I Feel like a Piece of me is Missing because of the Game. I Met so many Amazing People and one, I'm still in Contact with and her and I Grew up Together in this Game and because of that, we're Practically Sisters. I've been Searching for one of my Closest Friends on there and at the Time, his Name was Bren. I Miss him Dearly. I Wish this Game was back up so I have a Chance at Finding him again and Finally being Together again as Friends.
So please, Makers of the Game, Developers, whatever...

I really do miss ourworld. Playing vw makes me feel sad, the people on there are nut case pensioners. I want my account back, my items, my friends. Like the rest of you, I have hours, days, years poured into this game and it was something i could fall back onto. I've not come onto the forums for a while, i just remember one of their support team saying that the project for ow is not continuing,. and i have actually just seen somones post in summer 2023 update that the ceo says they are looking to bring this back and that were not forgotten. Its been 2+ years with no "official" update but im hopeful that we will get an announcement and that one day we will get the reboot we deserve. I hope they allow people to regain their old account.
