For those who don't know, or cannot access ourWorld due to the latest update (or lack of downloading said update), ourWorld will cease operation in four days, as of this post.
If you're able to access ourWorld, now would be a good time to keep memories from your album and take pictures.
ourWorld is closing down, something that we knew was going to happen, just not this soon.

Believe it or not, a tear came out of my eye, so many memories, so many friends we've never seen in real life but still we had memorable convos, so many fun things we've done together in this game and now it's all gonna end soon
I still have a bit of hope left, but i am not sure if it's possible, would that modified app work maybe and somehow preserve this game?
If not, then we will wait in hope that some day Ourworld will make a comback in all its glory

real bittersweet, grew up with this game since i was 9-10 and now i'm 21. i've made amazing friends on here and some crazy memories that i'm too embarrassed to talk about. very sad how rushed the shut down feels, and i genuienly do hope they bring this game back one day
Something I don't understand would be why would they word it like that? Why label the people who got into the system as "bad actors"? Also, I keep hearing Jess's name being thrown around so many times, I keep hearing that she has done good things but also bad things as well. I just don't know what to believe anymore.
[EDIT] I probably won't get a definitive answer. This game has occupied my childhood since 2014, I knew so many friends on here, while it's sad that the game is ending,I'm happy this game existed in the first place. Goodbye and take care. ♥ ♥
Hmm I had a feeling the game wouldn't last in this state for more than a year, especially with them essentially throwing their hands up in the air and not doing anything to monitor or maintain it. It is still sad though. I'll never be able to fulfill my wishes of getting everything on my wishlist but that doesn't matter now, the whole thing will be gone in 2 days. Here's to seeing what flowplay will create next (if they do)...
I stopped playing ourWorld a while ago because of the stupid "Oops" verification issue, but as a member since 2010, I am extremely sad to see the game go. It's been boring for a while now and will never compare to what it used to be, but it was a major part of my childhood. I will always be grateful for all the friends, memories, and entertainment that ourWorld brought to me throughout the years. I hope we can all enjoy the game for these last few days. No, I know for a fact that you can blame the ending of ow on the hacker called Jess. She is the bad actor that got ow to shut it's servers down. There is no other reason. She has been a cancer on this game for far too long and ending ow is the only way for them to secure their site. gg Jess, way to ruin it for everyone.
Yes but these traders should take the blame as well. Look at the item prices, an ordinary cap which costed like 500,000 coins is now 500,000,000. I, and many other players with me cannot collect that ammount of coins for our whole lifetime unless maybe we would get lucky at the Coin Fountain, and chances for that to happen are slim and none, and that's just one item, others have a similar price, 200,000,000, 350,000,000 and so on. It takes me a whole month just to collect 10,000,000. They set the prices like that on purpose because they know that ammount of coins is impossible to collect, they want real money. Unless there's a hack where each player can pump up their bankroll with as many coins as they want i see no other reason for such sudden astronomical price jump
My question is how dose the fluff i corn looks like if anyone has a picture of it? I mostly came back to the game to unlock all the critters but only got to water fairly.
They want to End ourWorld and that is want they wanted.
No sale transaction (purchase of gems or by subscription were all cancelled late last year), No more sponsors like Free gems from surveys etc etc
Why not hand over this game to Non-Profit Organization and let the kids play for FREE?

Maybe they were going to shut it down at some point, but it is being shut down right now because of Jess. She is doing all kinds of illegal things. I hope criminal charges follow and eventually ow will come back.

There was in fact a coin generator created on a discord server that allowed people to make coins. Coins became worthless because there were was too big of an influx of them on the game. No one sold for coins in mp because they had no value. Sucked for all of us that were actually honest traders.

I never really write on posts for Ow, normally I just read through them. But this time, it kind of feels right that I do. I first joined back in 2009 when scrolling through Miniclip when another game closed down, and I dont think I've ever played a game as long as I have with OurWorld. Over the 12 years, I can proudly say I've made friends for life and I have had so many amazing memories and it's true when they say "all good things must come to an end." I think from last year alot of us came back especially after the terrible year of Covid-19, and I think many of us saw ow slowly starting to die off which is shame from how it used to be. It's sad to say goodbye, especially when it feels like a forced ending from "bad actors" - this day was going to happen eventually whether we wanted it to or not. To some people "its just a game", but ow really did hold a place in my heart from a child running back home after school in 2009, to an adult in 2021. I will miss logging on, but its been one heck of a ride. (P.S I hope if the game does come back, our accounts will still remain <3).
After being on oW since it came out (granted I was like 6, and I've had different accounts until this one from 2016-2021 and I'm 19 now) this literally broke my heart. I didn't get to login before the servers shut down because of being super busy, and I'm really sad to see it go so soon. OurWorld has been my comfort game (and for all of you as well, I'd assume). I've had some of my best memories growing up from it. So even though this is goodbye to my favorite game, thank you to the OurWorld developers and fellow players who've cared for the game. It sucks it's gone, and I do really hope one day it will come back. I'll come back here every so often to see if anything changes. If any of you see this, I hope things go great for you and I hope if there's a return I can see you all again! (Or talk if we've never spoken to each other)

No i dont agree, i'm sure they still love this game as much as we do, and they really want oW back again like we do.
But we have to do our part too now.

I admire your and Elize's idea to bring back Ourworld with a petition, however, there is one problem with Ourworld coming back: all the people selling items for USD along with Jess and her crew disecting and hacking the system. If Ourworld were to suddently reopen, the same issues would happen again unless the devs take special precautions and steps to prevent these people from taking advantage. This isn't an attack on anyone, but let's think the possible outcomes of Ourworld's return.

I understand what you are saying and yes, there could of been more which Flowplay could of done as a company to protect the game. But Aikawa is correct, even with the prevention of hackers, there still would be users who will be selling items for real currency which in reality kinda ruins the fun for people and Leaves innocent users to get scammed. Trading/selling items played a big part in ow Popularity but also in its demise from the level of greedy toxic people. The group of hackers were targeting people who were ourworld “OG’s” and people with high end items. As someone who’s been on ourworld from 2009, I was scared of logging on because I did have a good collection of times which took a lot of time over the years and the last thing I wanted was to be hacked and loose years worth of progress. It’s sad to think but Ourworld in 2008 will always be a different dynamic compared to what Ow is like now. I feel like the lack of care for the game stemmed from ourworld not being as profitable as it was in its prime. Back then Flash games hit mainstream and it was a new platform for kids in that generation to experience. But as years went by, flash games lost its popularity and the level of players logging in to ourworld decreased, which financially impacted the company as it wouldn’t be feasible for ourworld to maintain itself on the web even after the loss of flash. Ourworld relies on active users, gem purchasing/paid memberships. But over the years with the likes of social media expanding, and technology changing, Ow would of only reinvested back into the game knowing it would boost their sales. They probably knew that the game eventually wouldn’t be the same that’s why they put it on a client and threw it to the side. Which really impacts negatively on the loyal user base ourworld has. That’s why they stopped creating new items and rarely updated/monitored the game. I do hope that Flowplay does see how loyal ourworld users are and how much we really care for the game in consideration of rebuilding it to make it a fair fit everyone. ❤️

A simple solution?
oW back online with deactivated marketplace and trades until better solutions will came up.
Just a place to chat with our friends again, hang out and meet new friends, a simplified version of oW for now.
Honestly, i care about people, not about buying pixel in a toy-market.
For me, giving up is not a solution.
cant they make it so we can down lode a copy of are condo and items that way we can still use are condo and stuff this would mean we cant trade or by or use email but we would still get to keep a copy of are stuff.
i have room on my computer to store info for my condo and items. Its my stuff. most i got from spending cash on gems
