You guys, I'm sure CapriUnicorn also meant to include Zoe's Club members. Technically Zoe's Club is residency, just a little better and costs more/less costly.
Someone didn't "find a way to group someone to the supposedly Residents Only restricted area", ourWorld is aware that Residents/Zoe's Club members group their tourist friends to the beach and such, they let it fly. If they didn't want it happening they would stop it by turning off that ability to group.
I can imagine an island existing exclusively for Zoe's Club members, with an actual physical (virtual) Zoe's Club & Zoe's Auctions Shop that Zoe's Club members could go to and chat in front of. You may be able to group Tourists and Residents (unless ourWorld chooses for that not to be a feature), but they won't be able to access the shops there, because they're not Zoe's Club members. It would be like the skating rink in Startlight Skate, you can see the skating rink and the seats on the other side (Zoe's Club features), but you need to buy the skates (Zoe's Club/gems for Zoe's Club Pass) to access it.
ourWorld could put Zoe there too - it's not like a kid is gonna freak out that she's in two places. It'd feel like she lead you there to show you the cool stuff you worked for (paid for). She could also give you directions like she initially does on the boardwalk.
P.S.: I feel like all of the challenges that the NPAs have to offer haven't been changed to catch up with what ourWorld has added and what there is now. It would be cool if Zoe explained the Marketplace (and other new things), since that area is already confusing and risky - especially for an 8-year-old who doesn't know the worth of demon eyes and trades them for that cool 50+ gems hair that he can't afford to buy in Threads because he doesn't know how to earn gems (another thing that isn't explained). Sorry, I trailed off.
CapriUnicorn, it's a really great idea seeing that ourWorld should add more to its game besides new items. It isn't JUST about rares. ourWorld needs to get social again.
Well, thats a great idea BUT only if the Zoe's club was able to get in to the ''Island'' and if the Island was like a paradise for residents and zoe's.
But its 50%-50% for me, beacuse, a part of me likes the idea, but, i once was a resident ( my friend gifted me res ), and i was a res for a month, i enyojed the features, soho park, beach, parties and trading. But now im not a resident, and if ow posted on their blog ''A complete Island JUST FOR RESIDENTS'', I would be kind of ''sad'' beacuse having the idea of a ''Paradise'' for residents that had a place for chilling, games, shops, and stuff.
Nukii i TOTALLY agree with u with the last part, on ow now is just ''Trading'',''Rares'' and other stuff. Do we ( the people that are a little bit longer on ow ), When Buzz and Flo's Dinner was full, When in Flo's u did not have a spot to sit in, when the music ACTUALLY worked, when the buzz had the worker, dates were in there, when in the garage there was people listening to the band, all instruments were taken, when boardwalk was full, Poker Cabana was played, and other stuff. Now, we all really dont have friends, we just trade, get rares, and look good on ourworld, Ourworld should be a social place, Where it use to be like it use to be. I joined ow 2012/13, now, i really DONT have that much active friends, its like ow stoped being what it used to be. A ''social'' place
And yes, i agree with the last part again, that Zoe should help u with that stuff, cause well. Some of those kids dont know.
Amani,
Thank you! I'm glad you agree.
Another thing is, though, not being a Resident may be sad, but the features that ourWorld creates that are exclusive to only Residents and Zoe's Club members are put there to motivate tourists to pay money to actually obtain those features.
Any part of ourWorld that isn't available unless you pay money is set there SO you pay that money in the long run, if that makes sense.
I have to disagree. The idea itself seems to be nice, yet it then would make the Zoe's club useless. For example the major difference between the Residency and the Zoe's club is that the Zoe's club has it's own shop, which is called Zoe's Club, and that it has the Zoe's Auctions. Therefore, having a shop for the residents only lessens the value of the Zoe's club. You'd tell me that there would still be the Auctions as a difference, but why would I buy a card with 600 gems, to bid for an item when I can buy a residency with 200 gems and then I'd buy the same item when it's available in the Resident shop? ( in case it exists ). If you meant resident only items, they already provide monthly condo items and Resident boxes that only residents could open, so the idea is similar to what exists. The left difference is that with Zoe's club you can list the items for free. So? The listing fee isn't a big deal, unless you nest. As mymelodyhk said, the 'Resident Only' areas were accessed by non-residents. Maybe if these areas were more restricted and ourWorld added some other areas it would be better. I hope you get my point (:
Yeah, wouldn't you feel ripped off if you gave the game your money and got very little perks to go with it? I agree with the Zoes only island, despite never being a Zoes member myself. They pay a lot of money and deserve those kinda perks for supporting the game like that.
But also Amani I really like what you were saying about Flo's and Buzz and all that, I hate the radio thing we've got going now. When I first joined OW, Buzz is what convinced me to stay because the music was great, the place was filled with so many interesting people, and I made so many friends and had a lot of memorable experiences in that little coffee shop. It kinda hurts now to keep my volume off when I'm playing and it makes me not want to get online so much anymore since all there is to do is trade, especially since I'm making my own money now and can't always afford to buy res or zoes passes. I go months without coming on here and every time I do, it gets less and less social. It's so sad, it'd be worth giving up if it didn't used to be so great. It's why almost all of my friends stopped playing, it's just been getting boring.
That sounds really cool. They kinda did it with the Beach and the soho park but I know what your talking about. Sounds awesome

CapriUnicorn,
I do understand your point, but I'm not sure there is a way to make it "Resident Only." After all, the Beach and Soho Park were originally meant to be Residents Only, but someone found a way to group someone to the supposedly Residents Only restricted area. The other suggestions you made sound lovely to the people who pay to play as a Resident on this game, but I'm not sure how the ourWorld team would make a Residents Only area.
Do we remember*
I feel you on that so hard, xLala 8D.
Flowplay is too busy focusing on creating new items, that they forget about updating features and mend the crucial social aspect of the game.
